![]() They are always willing to be there, protect their friends, and desire to enjoy life the most that they can. Hufflepuffs show the most passion and desire from any other house I've seen, in the way of caring and friendliness. They are associated with Fire which fire is associated with passion, desire, energy, and protection. Hufflepuffs are usually the kindest, friendliest, and most apt to help you if you need it. They represent the Heart, and this is the main things that stood out for me. In the Harry Potter universe you can still see they have a close connection to humans even if they don't want to show it. In Native American folklore they've turned fairly mean, though they weren't always like that. Pukwudgies stood out as the Hufflepuffs, mainly because of their shy nature and how they are usually misunderstood by a lot of the community. Thunderbirds were also used to punish humans who broke moral rules, I can see gryffindors aligning fairly closely with being judges on moral rules and they usually are the leaders who make the choices or decisions for where they are. Gryffindors have more soul than any other house member I've seen, whether it be for adventure, knowledge, bravery, or friendship that put everything they have into it and it usually means it, they are the essence of adventure and possibilities and the soul represents that. ![]() The Thunderbird is also considered the Soul. The intelligence part I leave out for the fact that every house is intelligent in their own way, so that's purely up to you on how you want to have that. Communication and Travel? Definitely something an adventurous and friend oriented Gryffindor would be about, they are the most adventurous house and never turn down talking to friends or making good connections. It's associated with Air, which involves communication, travel, intelligence, and freedom. This in itself screams gryffindor to me, the fact that it has strength and creates storms as it flies should scream a proud and brave gryffindor that wants the world to see it. They care more so for their own lives as opposed to almost anything else.Īlso, in Native American lore, the Underworld is controlled by the Wampus and he usually resembles death itself.Ī large bird that has great power and strength and create storms as it flies. This is one I put more so on the fact that Slytherin pride themselves on Self Preservation and of their own means, meaning they put emphasis on their body itself. All of these are things Slytherins have been known to and still do pride themselves on, especially Death and Prosperity. It's related to the element of Earth which is connected to Prosperity, Wealth, Strength and Death. Being almost impossible to kill or metaphorically, impossible to keep down is something Slytherin are good at seeing as they are ambitious even when it comes to death and being impossible to kill (Voldemort is a very good example). Intimidation is something a lot of Slytherin pride themselves on, whether it's by choice or not they use it to their advantage. Here's my reasoning for each house being associated this way.Ĭonsidered a fearsome variation of a cougar that is almost impossible to kill, keywords here is "fearsome" and "impossible to kill". I do use actual facts from the Harry Potter Lore, Native American History, and from Wikipedia. This is all purely speculation and my opinion, meaning it isn't canon since it's just an outside look on it.
